The McCall MacBain Scholarship- Requirements and Application Process

The McCall MacBain Scholarship offers full support for your master’s or professional studies.

Apply starting June 1, 2024, for the 2025 group. If you’re a student or graduate from a Canadian or U.S. university, or a Canadian living abroad, apply by September 25.

Who They Want to Meet

Applications for the 2024 group are closed, but they’re offering up to 30 full scholarships and 100 entrance awards for Summer/Fall 2024 admission.

They’ll announce scholarship finalists and regional award recipients in February.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the 2025 group, you must meet one of these criteria:

  • You’re currently pursuing your first bachelor’s degree and will graduate by August 2025.
  • You obtained your first bachelor’s degree within the past five years (from January 2019 onwards).
  • You earned your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago and are 30 or younger in 2024.
  • You also need to meet McGill’s minimum degree and language requirements for master’s program admission.

What Does the Scholarship Cover?

The McCall MacBain Scholarship includes:

  • You’ll pay for your master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill.
  • You’ll also get $2,000 CAD each month to cover living costs during the school term.
  • A one-time relocation grant.
  • Options for summer funding.
  • Participation in a leadership development program.
  • Connecting with mentors and advisors.
  • Attending a variety of workshops and talks.
