Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Daniels Scholarship Program, you need to:
- Be finishing high school
- Live in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
- Have at least a 3.0 GPA in high school
- Get at least 490 on the SAT Math and 490 on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading & Writing, or at least 18 on each category of the ACT (you don’t need to do the writing part)
- Show that you need financial help (this is explained more below)
What does the Daniels Scholarship Program cover?
If you’re a Daniels Scholar and go to certain schools in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming, the program pays for everything you need for college.
If you go to a school outside these states, you can get up to $25,000 a year for school costs.
The money can be used for:
- Tuition, fees, and other school costs
- Where do you live and eat
- Books and other things you need for school
- Anything else related to school
- You also get a laptop and support before, during, and after college.
Where can the Daniels Scholarship be used?
Daniels Scholars can go to any nonprofit college or university in the U.S. to get a bachelor’s degree.
You have to plan to get a bachelor’s degree, and if you start at a two-year college, you have to plan to get a bachelor’s degree later.
You can’t use the scholarship at trade schools or for programs that give you certificates.
